FOCUS ASIA is the first volume in a series of publications on the Wemhöner Collection. As the title suggests, it not only presents sculptures, paintings, and photographic works by artists living in Asia. It also examines works created outside Asia that refer back to Asian traditions. Conversely, Western art movements, such as Pop Art, undeniably influenced the work of Asian artists.

China expert Ulrike Münter traces the East-West correspondences of the works in her commentary texts and categorizes them both art-historically and within the overall oeuvre of the respective artist.
