Accompanying the exhibition About Painting – Positions from the Wemhöner Collection, which took place in 2014 at Potsdamer Straße 83 in Berlin, this now out-of-print publication was released featuring exhibition views and selected works from the collection.

The focus is on painting in its diversity: from Italian Transavantgarde through Minimalism and Abstraction to current positions in the international art scene. For Heiner Wemhöner, each work is connected with personal encounters and conversations. Even though the collection today comprises drawings, photographs, films, sculptures, and installations, painting has remained an essential starting point for its development. The publication documents the exhibition and provides insights into the range of painterly positions within the Wemhöner Collection.
